In addition to being the largest Andy Warhol print gallery in the Western US, we are publishers of a number of striking edition prints by such important artists as Robert Longo, Alex Katz, and Donald Sultan. Their works are in the collections of many major art museums throughout the world.

As publishers, we collaborate with artists and printers to create beautiful lithographs & silkscreen print editions. Our involvement has resulted in several full editions by each of the above artists, and entitles us the position of being the exclusive distributor.

ROBERT LONGO MEN IN THE CITIES

(b. 1958) Robert Longo is one of the most well-known and respected contemporary in American history. He was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1953, but was raised in Long Island, New York. As a child, Longo had a strong interest in all forms of media and art, including comic books, movies, TV, magazines and more.

All of these various art forms worked together to help shape and influence his art throughout his works. Longo became a rising star in the 1980s for his “Men in the Cities” series, which depicted sharply dressed men and women writhing in contorted emotion.

ALEX KATZ PORTRAITS

(b.1927) Alex Katz is one of the most recognized and widely-exhibited artists of his genera-
tion. Often associated with the Pop Art movement, Katz began exhibiting his work in 1954, and since that time he has produced a celebrated body of work that includes paintings, drawings, sculpture, and prints. His earliest work took inspiration from various aspects of mid-century American culture and society, including television, film, and advertising, and over the past five and a half decades he has established himself as a preeminent painter of modern life, whose distinctive portraits and lyrical landscapes bear a flattened surface and consistent economy of line.

Utilizing characteristically wide brushstrokes, large swathes of color, and refined compositions, Katz created what art historian Robert Storr called “a new and distinctive type of realism in American art which combines aspects of both abstraction and representation.”

DONALD SULTAN FLOWERS

(b. 1951) is one of the most celebrated Contemporary artists. His work examines the seam of beauty that lies between abstraction and the natural world. In this new series of mixed-media prints, Sultan combines sensuously reductive forms, rich color and multiple surface textures, including the luminous use of silica. Together these elements convey one of the most powerful and unique voices in Contemporary art.

The works of Donald Sultan are prominently featured internationally in private and public collections including The Museum of Modern Art, NY, the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, NY, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, the Ludwig Museum, Budapest and the Tate Modern, London.
