WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ —
Exhibition “Unseen Warhol”
OPENING RECEPTION
Thursday, May 7, 2015
6PM – 8PM
There will be a silkscreen demonstration at 7PM followed by Questions and Answers
Artists Debbie Carfagno and Michael Enns, both former Master Printers for Andy Warhol, will be demonstrating and discussing the silkscreen process used by Warhol. These remarkable artists worked in the Warhol studio from 1977 until his death in 1987 and will share fascinating anecdotes from the Warhol era.
Hamilton-Selway will be featuring extremely rare prints by Warhol, never seen by the public, in addition to a variety of Warhol “Portrait” paintings. The evening promises to be informative and fun. Print making techniques and a vivid picture of the glory days of the Warhol Factory will be brought to life.
For the first time ever, both artists have joined forces to offer our clients the rare opportunity to commission a one-of-a-kind Warhol-style portrait. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own an original Pop Art portrait of yourself, a dear pet or someone you love!
Gallery Director David Galgano states, “Rarely has the public had the opportunity to hear the Warhol story by the people who worked hand in hand with the pop art legend. Everyone will be amazed as these print makers work their magic. The printmaking process is certainly not as easy as it looks.”
