Before Gaga unveiled her latest album cover, other singers had introduced fans to real artists before, way before ARTPOP was synonymous with Jeff Koons. Keith Haring collaborated with Warhol and used his famous colorful figures with Madonna’s likeness during the 80s.
They were even very good friends. In 1984, She performed “Dress You Up” on his birthday. #Warhol even mentioned in his diary about how Keith Haring can right a bunch of stories about Madonna’s sexual escapades just from her sleeping on his couch. He even designed the jacket Madonna wore in some of her concerts back in the day.
Of course there are many more artists who introduced ‘artists’ to the music public.
